Frequently asked questions
Do you have questions about our working methods, availability, or technical expertise? Here you will find answers to our customers' most important questions.
How quickly can you respond in an emergency?
In the event of critical failures, we are reachable remotely within 4 hours – even outside of regular business hours. For on-site deployments, we coordinate the travel arrangements individually; as a rule, we are with you within 24–48 hours. Many of our clients use our on-call service: We are already familiar with your systems and can step in immediately when it matters most.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Both – depending on your requirements: • Remote: For monitoring, diagnostics, updates, and many fault resolutions • On-Site: For hardware replacements, commissioning, or when your security policies do not permit remote access In practice, we often combine both approaches: remote maintenance for fast response times, and on-site visits for more complex tasks.
Which control systems and technologies do you support?
We have over 20 years of experience with all common systems: • SCADA: Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition, AVEVA • DCS: ABB 800xA, Honeywell Experion, Emerson DeltaV • PLC: Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric • Historian: PI System, Wonderware Historian, SQL-based • Network: Industrial Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, OPC UA If your system is not listed: We get up to speed quickly – automation logic is in our DNA.
How does the collaboration work in practice?
Typically in 3 steps: 1. Initial Consultation (30–60 min): We understand your challenge and assess whether we are the right partner for you. 2. Proposal & Kick-off: You receive a transparent proposal. Upon engagement, we familiarize ourselves with your systems. 3. Ongoing Support: Depending on the agreement, we work on a project basis, on-call, or with a dedicated on-call service. Communication runs through your preferred channels: email, Teams, phone – whatever works best for you.
What does emergency support cost?
Costs depend on the scope: • One-time emergency deployments: Day/hourly rates based on effort • On-call service: Monthly flat rate + reduced deployment costs • Project flat rates: Fixed price for defined services (e.g., modernization) In the initial consultation, we clarify your needs and provide a tailored proposal – with no hidden costs.
Do you have experience with our specific system?
Most likely yes – we have worked with a wide variety of systems across 15+ countries and hundreds of projects. If we are not yet familiar with your specific setup: We are specialists in automation technology and get up to speed quickly. The fundamental principles – control loops, databases, networks – are universal. We will discuss your configuration in detail during the initial consultation.
How do you safeguard critical know-how within our facility?
This is an integral part of how we work: • Documentation: We record all changes in a clear and traceable manner • Knowledge Transfer: Upon request, we train your team in parallel • Backup Concepts: We create emergency plans and secure system snapshots • Long-term Support: Many clients work with us for years – ensuring that expertise is retained Our goal is not dependency, but a reliable long-term partnership.
Do you work alongside existing maintenance contracts?
Yes, absolutely. We complement your existing setup: • As a backup team for your internal staff • As specialists for complex edge cases • As a capacity bridge during peak workloads We collaborate closely with your maintenance partner – without any competitive agenda. Our focus is on control system expertise that many generalists simply do not have in their portfolio.
Can you work during live operations?
Yes – that is our standard. Downtime costs money, which is why we plan all work to keep your production running. Examples: • SCADA Migrations: Build the new system in parallel, then switch over • Updates: Executed during maintenance windows or with redundancy • Diagnostics: Remote access without production interruption Only genuine hardware replacement work may require brief shutdowns – which we coordinate closely with you.
What about data security and confidentiality?
Absolute priority. We operate according to strict standards: • NDA: Standard practice for every project • Secure Connections: VPN, encrypted access, no cloud storage of sensitive data without your consent • OT Security Expertise: We understand the risks in industrial networks and act accordingly • Compliance: GDPR-compliant; industry-specific standards available upon request Your data and system security are in safe hands with us.
